FOOD MATTERS at MMF 2023: '“Man and Food”
FOOD MATTERS is a pop-up restaurant that focuses on actuality, the future and challenges in our food system. From dishes such as “fast-food-shake-slow,” a “funeral of a banana,” “fisherman without water,” and “bottom viewer soup.” From biodiversity, the protein transition, a grain deal in times of war to salinization of the soil. Our food is political, cultural, economic, and societal. FOOD MATTERS brings these topics to life in an interactive way where design and food come together.
Curated dinner, conceived and designed by Food Curators. Combined tickets can be purchased for the dinner and Mostly Modern Orchestra concert to follow. Please note that the events are in separate locations.
This event will feature Frances-Marie Uitti on cello. An American cellist and composer, she is known for her use of elaborate techniques and performance of contemporary classical music. Tom Service, music critic for The Guardian, calls her “perhaps the world’s most influential underlying cellist.”
